Bakewell

Bakewell is one of the most famous towns in Derbyshire and is known for its weekly markets and, of course, the Bakewell Pudding! Walking around the quaint cobbled streets and enjoy a walk along the River Wye taking in the picturesque weirs along the way. Bakewell market fills the town with hustle, bustle and some great local produce. The town is also known for its great selection of unique shops, where you can browse the shabby chic trinkets, books and local cheese ‘til your heart’s content!

Buxton

Buxton is a spa town in Derbyshire. Described as "the gateway” to the Peak District National Park, Buxton has the highest elevation (about 1,000 feet 300 m above sea level) of any market town in England. Landmarks include Poole's Cavern, an extensive limestone cavern open to the public, and St Ann's Well, fed by the geothermal spring, famously bottled and sold internationally by Buxton Mineral Water Company. With a wealth of independent and high street shopping opportunities, an ever-expanding choice of cafés, bars and restaurants, and a year-round programme of fairs and markets, this town has much to offer.
